Valve's new streaming service, Steam Broadcasting goes live
The service is available for Windows Users only.

The new streaming service by Valve is now officially a part of their services for the Steam clients and is presently applicable for Windows users only.  Promising this service for Mac and Linux users in the future, Valve’s new broadcasting service will enable PC owners to stream games live for their friends. The official page still titles the Stream Broadcasting under beta but as confirmed by a Steam client auto-update there service is now available and there are no opt-in conditions applied to it now.

Chrome, Safari, and Internet Explorer 11 on Windows 8 are the supported browsers to use the service also the broadcast option under the community tab will allow players to view public streams in their browser’s.  Privacy settings will allow players to switch around their permissions also they can share their gameplay with any of their friends or view their game play simply by right-clicking on their friend in their contact list and if their friend permits the game will start broadcasting right away.
