Will Darkest Dungeon 2 get a release on the Nintendo Switch?

Darkest Dungeon 2 has finally gotten its full launch on PC. With version 1.0, those who have purchased the game on Steam and Epic Games Store will be able to enjoy everything that Red Hook Studios are offering with the latest franchise entry. The game has been stuck in the early access period for more than a year now; fortunately, it has finally gotten its official launch.

While those who are on PC are able to try out the title, many in the community are not all that happy with the fact that the RPG is yet to see a console launch.

Nintendo Switch users especially seem to be the most curious as to when the game will be dropping for their platform. Unfortunately, Red Hook Studios are yet to provide any official details on it.

However, the developers have confirmed that the game will eventually be making its way to all the consoles, and many in the community are speculating that it will be by 2024.

Darkest Dungeon 2 is likely to make its way to the Nintendo Switch by 2024

The reason for the speculations that Darkest Dungeon 2 will be making its way to the Nintendo Switch and other consoles by 2024 is that the previous entry also had a staggered release.

Darkest Dungeon, the first title in the franchise, was initially released for PC and MAC (OS X) on January 2016. It was only in September of the year that the title made its way to the PlayStation 4 as well as the PS Vita.

However, it was not until the August 2017 that it finally made its way to the iPad (iOS), then to the Nintendo Switch on January 2018, and finally to the Xbox One on February 2018.

It’s because of this that many in the community are certain that the console, as well as the Nintendo Switch launches for Darkest Dungeon 2, will be by 2024. That said, like with the previous franchise entry, it too can have a staggered launch and may not be coming on all the platforms in one go.
