Xbox One exclusive Sling TV app now available

Sling TV App In Xbox Store

Sling TV is now an Xbox One exclusive app. It allows Xbox One owners to watch live TV without an existing cable or satellite subscription. The base $20 subscription, dubbed “Best of Live TV” includes channels like ESPN, ESPN 2, AMC, Adult Swim, TBS, TNT and other channels and video on demand content.

Sling subscribers can then add a la carte add-ons to their subscriptions in order to view channels belonging to other categories like sports, kids and news. This would cost them an additional $5 per month.

According to Sling TV CEO Roger Lynch, “We built Sling TV with millennials in mind, and that includes gamers. Xbox has been at the forefront of gaming and technology for years, so it made sense to bring Sling TV to the passionate Xbox user. For many millennials, Xbox One is already the center of their living room experience, and we want to reach these fans to show there’s a better way to get live TV that doesn’t require a long-term commitment, high programming costs, additional wires or hidden fees.”

The Sling TV app is available now on the Xbox Store. Xbox One owners can download and try it free of cost for a span of 30 days.
