After a sensational win in the recently concluded Quadrangular Series, Scotland now face a wounded Omani side in a series of three of ODIs with the first one taking place on Tuesday at the Al Amerat Cricket Stadium.
Oman will be looking to avenge their defeat a couple of days back to the Scottish while Scotland will be looking to sustain the winning momentum as they enter the contest as the firm favourites.
With home support on their side, an upset isn't out of the question which could add more spice to an already heated contest.
Squads to choose from
Oman: Ajay Lalcheta (C), Khawar Ali, Wasim Ali, Fayyaz Butt, Aamir Kaleem, Kaleemullah, Bilal Khan, Mehran Khan, Naseem Khushi, Sufyan Mehmood, Mohammad Nadeem, Khurram Nawaz, Jay Odedra, Jatinder Singh, Sandeep Goud
Kyle Coetzer (C), Richie Berrington, Matthew Cross, Ally Evans, Chris Greaves, Michael Leask, Calum MacLeod, George Munsey, Adrian Neill, Safyaan Sharif, Ruaidhri Smith, Hamza Tahir, Craig Wallace, Mark Watt
Playing XI Updates
Some changes are to be expected from the side that played in the third and final match of the Quadrangular Series.
Khawar Ali should return to the top of the order while Jay Odreda could also make a comeback to the side at the expense of Mehran Khan.
Sandeep Goud was impressive in both his outings and should continue to play in the side with a lot of expectations on Bilal Khan and Ajay Lalcheta to deliver with the ball.
Possible XI: Jatinder, Khawar, Naseem(WK), Khurram, Nadeem, Sandeep, Lalcheta (C), Kaleem/Sufyaan, Bilal, Odreda and Fayyaz
Adrien Neill's impressive performance against Oman in the Quadrangular Series has seemingly locked his position in a fairly settled side. Scotland has enjoyed success over the past year with a victory over England indicating their prowess in the 50 over format.
Matt Cross and Coetzer should open the batting with ample support in the middle order. Safyaan Sharif has been impressive so far over the last week and will be key with the new ball along with the spin duo of Leask and Watt.
Possible XI: Cross(WK), Coetzer, MacLeod, Berrington, Munsey, Wallace, Leask, Watt, Sharif, Evans and Neill.

Fantasy Tips and Suggestions
Matt Cross is the preferred method choice out of a strong pool of options in the wicket-keeping section.
Although he couldn't come up with a sizeable contribution in the Quadrangular Series, Cross has been a consistent performer for the Scottish and will be crucial at the top of the order
Sandeep Goud and Khurram Nawaz Khan are great options to have in the side with good form backing their selections as well.
Two or all of Calum MacLeod, George Munsey and captain, Kyle Coetzer should be sufficient to round off the batting department.
Richie Berrington is in red hot form with both bat and ball. Along with Ajay Lalcheta, Berrington is one player to base your fantasy team around. Michael Leask is also a handy option to have in the side and could be selected as an additional all-round option.
Much is expected of Bilal Khan who underwhelmed in the tri-series. Inspite of picking only one wicket in the three games, he is one player to keep an eye out for.
Mark Watt and Safyaan Sharif pick themselves with recent form also suggesting the same while either of Mohammed Nadeem or Fayyaz Butt could also prove to be handy options.
Calum MacLeod and Richie Berrington are the prime candidates for captaincy. MacLeod was at the forefront of the series win with 117 runs to his name and will again be the prized wicket the Omani's would desperately want early on.
The likes of Khurram Khan and Coetzer are also some of the options available as captain.
