In what was supposed to be an encore of the trashing handed to them by the Scottish in the first ODI, Oman bounced back emphatically with a morale boosting victory while levelling the series in the process. Going into the third ODI, Oman will head into the match with momentum on their side and the belief that they could upstage a formidable Scotland side once again with the series up for grabs.

Scotland, on the other hand, need to rethink their strategies, as their spinners weren't able to influence proceedings while once again entering the match as the firm favourites.

Oman:

Despite dropping their captain, Ajay Lalcheta, Oman put in an assured performance with the bat courtesy of fifties from Khurram Khan and Mohammed Nadeem. Bilal Khan finally came good with two wickets, although the star of the show was Badal Singh, who got the wickets of MacLeod, Berrington and Munsey. Sandeep Goud could be replaced by Ajay Lalcheta in the side, while Bhandari should continue at the top of the order whilst keeping wickets.

Scotland:

After a four wicket haul in the first game, Ruaidhri Smith wasn't able to replicate his performances in the absence of Adrien Neill. Safyaan Sharif should keep his place after a three wicket haul in the second match, while Michael Leask could return for Hamza Tahir to add more strength to the batting unit. Chris Greaves could get a look in with this being the last match of the tour.

Wicket-keeper: Matt Cross is the preferred method choice out of a strong pool of options in the wicket-keeping section. Although he hasn't been able to put in a good performance yet, Cross has been a consistent performer for the Scottish and will be crucial at the top of the order.

Batsmen: Kyle Coetzer and Calum McLeod are must haves in the side with their expertise bound to come handy in the series decider. Khurram Khan powered the Omanis to a winning total with a swift fifty and should be backed for an encore. One of Jatinder Singh and Khawar Ali are also handy options to have in the side.

All-rounders: With Ajay Lalcheta's place in the side up in the air, Richie Berrington remains to only viable option left amongst the available all-rounders. Berrington was impressive with the ball and even chipped in with a promising cameo. He should be backed for another good performance in the decider.

Bowlers: Mark Watt, Safyaan Sharif, Bilal Khan and Mohammed Nadeem are the ideal set of players to have in your side. Mohammed Nadeem proved his worth with an all-round performance as he guided Oman to a 93 run victory. He is one player to keep tabs on while one of Badal Singh or Kaleemullah would also fit the bill.

Captain: Calum MacLeod and Richie Berrington are highly experienced and talented players who have ample experience playing in crucial games in their careers. With both of them getting to starts in the previous game before Badal Singh disrupted them, they should be in good touch as well and backed to put in a match-defining performance.
