Pakistan Super League (PSL 2019) Match 2, Karachi Kings vs Multan Sultans: Dream11 Prediction, Playing XI Updates & Fantasy Cricket Tips - February 15th, 2019
Multan have endured a torrid time over the past few months with their first draft pick Steve Smith picking up an injury and Joe Denly being released for the entire tournament due to national commitments.
But not everything is doom and gloom, with Multan Sultans being stacked with all-rounders such as Russell and Afridi. Their opponents, meanwhile, are slightly more well balanced with Pakistan internationals, Imad Wasim and Babar Azam in their ranks. Will the Kings prevail in this crucial clash or will it be the Sultans who begin their campaign on a high?

The Kings boast of the highest ranked T20 batsman in the world, Babar Azam, in their ranks with Colin Ingram, Ravi Bopara and Mohammad Rizwan adding to the batting strength of the side. With Colin Munro and Ben Dunk unavailable for the clash, Liam Livingstone could play a part for them on Friday. Karachi is blessed to have Amir and Usman Khan, who are great exponents of swing with the new ball and will be key to their fortunes.
Possible XI: Azam, Livingstone, Ingram, Rizwan (WK), Bopara, Raza, Wasim (C), Sohail Khan, Mir, Amir and Usman Khan.
Shahid Afridi, Andre Russell, Shoaib Malik and Chris Green form the core of the side with all four players capable of doing damage with bat and ball. The presence of explosive and in-form players in Laurie Evans and Junaid Khan adds to their strength although the third pacer spot is up for grabs between Mohammad Abbas and Mohammad Ilyas.
Possible XI: Charles (WK), Masood, Evans, Hammad, Malik, Russell, Afridi, Green, Abbas/Ilyas, Junaid and Irfan.
Fantasy Tips and Suggestions:
Wicket-keeper: Mohammad Rizwan had a productive 2018 with Pakistan A and is currently in good form as well. With a promotion in the batting order on the horizon for the Pakistani, he should be the preferred option for wicket-keeper.
Batsmen: Babar Azam and Laurie Evans are must-haves in your fantasy team with both of them in very good form over the last few months. Azam was unlucky to end up on the losing side in South Africa after some good performances with the bat and with a return to the UAE, one can expect him to put in another good performance. Colin Ingram and Johnson Charles are also very good options to have with the likes of Ravi Bopara and Shoaib Malik also available.
All-rounders: Andre Russell and Imad Wasim are the preferred all-round options with their ability to influence the game at any given point. Shahid Afridi's stint with Comilla Victorians saw him rank among the best bowlers in the competition and he could be a viable option as well.
Bowlers: The left arm trio of Junaid Khan, Mohammad Amir and Usman Khan are must-haves in the side. Chris Green's addition to the Multan side paves the way for his selection as well with the likes of Mohammad Irfan and Usama Mir also being handy options.
Captain: Babar Azam and Laurie Evans are in amazing form with the bat and are the obvious choices for captain while the likes of Imad Wasim and Shoaib Malik could also provide some you with some points.
Fantasy Suggestion #1: Mohammad Rizwan (WK), Babar Azam, Colin Ingram, Johnson Charles, Laurie Evans, Andre Russell, Imad Wasim, Mohammad Amir, Usman Khan, Chris Green and Junaid Khan. Captain: Babar Azam
Fantasy Suggestion #2: Mohammad Rizwan (WK), Babar Azam, Laurie Evans, Ravi Bopara, Shoaib Malik, Shahid Afridi, Imad Wasim, Usama Mir, Usman Khan, Mohammad Irfan and Junaid Khan. Captain: Shoaib Malik
