21st Kohima Royal Gold Cup: Aizawl FC become champions

Mizoram-side Aizawl FC are the champions of the 21st Kohima Royal Gold Cup! The team from the neighbouring state won 3-1 in the final against late replacements Barak FC yesterday.

The 21st edition of Kohima Royal Gold Cup was played from November 16 to 29 at the Local Ground, Kohima. The Royal Gold Cup, organized by the Royal Club in Kohima, is the only football tournament in the state of Nagaland to be affiliated to the All India Football Federation (AIFF) and conducted under the aegis of the Nagaland Football Association (NFA).

The winning team Aizawl FC took home a cash prize of Rs 150,000 (1.5 lakhs), while the runners-up Barak FC received Rs 100,000 (1 lakh) with both finalists getting trophies and citations.
