In the wake of Zlatan Ibrahimovic's latest move to Major League Soccer's LA Galaxy, it feels like a good time to run down a list of the Swedish Superstar's very best goals in his illustrious 20-year career.
Zlatan demolished LAFC with two stunning goals on his MLS debut, and his iconic debut goal from a long way out will live in American soccer infamy for ages; but is it his best?
Here are the five best goals from the Swedish superstar:
#1 PSG vs Anderlecht
To kick off this list, we have to look back to Zlatan's time with the French League's Paris Saint Germain. Taking charge and scoring four goals in of a 5-0 victory against the Belgian club, Zlatan's best goal in this game is something to behold.
Like a sniper, Zlatan spots a curved cross heading towards the perfect spot, and without missing a beat, the Swede shoots the ball perfectly into the top corner. What's amazing to watch is that the goalkeeper dives in the right direction, yet he can't get a hand on the venomous shot!
#2 Inter vs Bologna
On the complete other end of the spectrum comes Zlatan's sheer creativity and cleverness. A decade ago, during his time in Serie A with Inter Milan, Zlatan did what he does best - putting himself in the right place at the right time.
What's so brilliant about this is that it doesn't even seem like a position to score from. But Zlatan sees the game differently. Spotting an odd cross coming in from Adriano, Ibrahimovic -- without flinching -- sneaks an almost Muay Thai like sidekick onto the ball, sliding it into the goal.
#3 Juventus vs Benfica
What is it with this man and 30-yard screamers? 13 years ago, when Zlatan was playing at another Italian giant, Juventus, he was dishing them out whenever he pleased.
'Exhibit A' above is testament to his accuracy and skill from far out. With absolutely perfect ball control, Zlatan doesn't even wait to get close to the box, and like a steamrolling Swedish tank, he fires one off at the goalkeeper.
I wouldn't have been surprised if they started giving Spanish keepers helmets after this; the goalkeeper fell back helplessly.
#4 Inter vs Fiorentina
BOOM! Is indeed the word to describe this free kick. One wouldn't believe that he was 32 meters out when you see the speed and accuracy with which he managed to deposit the ball just under the crossbar.
Giving Inter a further one-goal lead over Fiorentina, Zlatan proves that he isn't just a tank, he's a sniper too. To top it all off, Zlatan simply shrugs off when celebrating with his teammates, because he knows just how good he is.
#5 Sweden vs England 2012
Was there ever any other choice? This might be one of the greatest goals in all of football history. Cementing Sweden's destruction of England in this international friendly, Zlatan got himself in perfect position to hit the bicycle kick of the century and score his 4th goal of the day.
The Swedish ace was going in blind and had almost no way of telling where the ball would go. Ibrahimovic seems to have a 6th sense for football, and it was simply unfortunate for England that he had to unleash it in full force against them, with a stunning outside-the-box bicycle kick on that fateful day in 2012.
