Philippe Coutinho said he "cannot wait" to start a new phase of his career as held his first press conference as a Bayern Munich player on Monday.
The 27 year-old Brazil midfielder joined the German champions on a season-long loan deal from Barcelona.
Bayern will pay a fee of Euros 8.5 million (US$ 9.4 million) and take on Coutinho's wages.
The agreement also includes an option to buy - fixed at Euros 120 million (US$ 133 million).
Coutinho joined Barcelona in January 2018 after spending five years at Liverpool but never really settled - Barcelona were set to offer Coutinho to Paris Saint-Germain as part of an effort to re-sign Neymar from the French giants recently and loan deals back in England were also considered before Bayern moved in.
