Arsenal majority shareholder Stan Kroenke is reportedly planning to create a new MLS franchise called the LA Gunners.

Kroenke already owns an MLS team called the Colorado Rapids and if the new team is sanctioned, it would enjoy a partnership with their north London sister team Arsenal, which would see them swap players and training methods, as Metro reports.

Kroenke has already been given the green light to name the new team ‘LA Gunners.’

Kroenke had recently purchased 60 acres of land in Los Angeles, however it is still being speculated whether he plans to build a new stadium for his American football side St. Louis Rams or use it for LA Gunners.
