'Bayern Munich need new signings to win the Champions League', says Bayern's Lewandowski
Bayern Munich's star forward Robert Lewandowski said on Tuesday that the Bundesliga club need further "new signings" in order to win the UEFA Champions League.

Bayern, who last won the Champions League in 2013 and play Arsenal in the International Champions Cup in Carson, California on Wednesday, have spent significant sums strengthening their defence with the acquisitions of Atletico Madrid's Lucas Hernandez and Stuttgart's Benjamin Pavard.

But Lewandowski wants to see more money spent, especially as replacements for attacking trio Franck Ribery, Arjen Robben and James Rodriguez have not yet been found.

Lewandowski's current contract with Bayern runs until the end of June 2021, and the Poland international believes he and the club are on a "good path" to agree an extension through to 2023.
