An attack on Boca's bus by River fans ahead of the second leg of the final at the Estadio Monumental, saw the match moved to Real Madrid's Santiago Bernabeu and played last December.
River won the second leg 3-1, and 5-3 on aggregate, to claim their fourth Copa Libertadores title.
Boca believe the unrest caused should see them awarded the title, along with approximately 10 million US dollars (8.9 million Euros) compensation.
If an agreement is not reached in the next two days, the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) will decide on a resolution before the end of the year.
