de Jong delighted to have completed "dream" move to Barcelona
Barcelona signed the promising 21-year-old Netherlands midfielder from Ajax for 75 million euros (85.5 million US dollars) back in January.
The deal could reach 86 million euros (98 million US dollars), which would include possible add-ons depending on De Jong and the team's performances during his five-year contract, which starts in July.
De Jong's poise on the ball and eye for a pass has drawn comparisons with Dutch legend Johan Cruyff, who flourished with Barcelona as a player and as a coach.
He hopes to follow in Cruyff's footsteps and also said that he is "really happy" to play alongside the club's legendary forward Lionel Messi.
