As a part of their pre-season campaign, Delhi Dynamos are set to take Sweden by the storm as they will be traveling with their full squad to the Scandinavian paradise. The team will also play three friendly games with one of the best Swedish sides so as to condition themselves for the upcoming season of the Indian Super League. Delhi Dynamos will also be the first Indian football club to play against a top-tier European team.
Football is the most popular sport in Sweden, with over 240,000 licensed players and the same amount of youth players. Sweden has constantly been producing players such as Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who is currently playing for Paris-Saint Germain FC, and teams that have made a mark in the footballing world and created history many times like Malmo FF. This makes Sweden the perfect location for Delhi Dynamos to acclimatize and prepare themselves.
Delhi Dynamos family will reach Sweden on 31st August. The Indian players will be landing in Landvetter Airport at 11:35 PM. Marquee manager and player Roberto Carlos, Assistant Manager Walmir da Cruz, Goalkeeping coach Leandro Franco along with players like Gustavo Marmentini and Chicao will be arriving together in Landvetter Airport at 5:30 PM.
