Delhi Dynamos FC hosts ‘Sunday Funday’ carnival for fans

The Delhiites had an amazing start to their Sunday morning at the ‘SundayFunday’ - A Delhi Dynamos FC Carnival, where they got an opportunity to catch up with their favourite Delhi Dynamos FC players and indulge in a host of fun activities at the New Wellington Camp, Chanakyapuri.

DDFC players Gunashekar Vignesh, Anwar Ali, Prabir Das, Zodingliana Ralte, Souvik, Ravi Kumar, Seiminlen Doungel, Naoba Singh and Anas Edathodika along with Vaibhav Manchanda, Vice-President-Technical, DDFC and Prashant Agarwal, President DDFC were present at the event to give their fans a fun-filled Sunday with lots of exciting activities related to the game of football.

Continuing its efforts in grassroots and youth football development, the Delhi Dynamos Football Club (DDFC) our national capital’s very own football team in the Hero Indian Super League organised the fun-filled Carnival for their fans. The fans made their way to the venue from 9 am onwards and the numbers kept increasing as the day passed. The event introduced the Indian players to the fans and also had a lot of exciting entertainment to engage the fans.

People present at the carnival participated in a host of fun activities like freestyle and juggling competition, shoot-out competition, target hitting challenge, passing the ball through Arch, Shoot-out competition, small-sided game and each winner won themselves a Gift Voucher/Signed Merchandise from DDFC Players. Over and above everyone got a chance to meet and interact with the DDFC team players.

“It is amazing to see people from all age groups taking the effort to get up on a Sunday morning and participate in the activities. Our aim is to engage with the fans and community throughout the year and not just during the league. It is so heartening to see people interacting with their favourite players and enjoying being part of the carnival. We intend to develop and encourage football talent in the city,” said Delhi Dynamos FC President Prashant Agarwal.

Gunashekhar Vignesh player DDFC said, “Initiatives like this is an innovative way to promote the game of football among the youth. India has vast talent which needs to be identified and nurtured. Grassroot activities not only encourage football as a sport but also give them a huge platform to showcase their talent.”

Delhi Dynamos defender Anas Edathodika said, ‘It’s a great initiative by the club and I am delighted to see the overwhelming response of the people. It’s also a nice opportunity for all of us o to connect and interact with the extremely talented fans.”
