Delhi's Garhwal FC Under-19 open trials an overwhelming success

Garhwal FC successfully conducted its first open trials of the season for its Under-19 team on Sunday, March 2. More than 350 young footballers from different parts of the country travelled all the way to showcase their talent.

The trials saw players coming from as far as Kerala, Hyderabad, Goa, Assam, Meghalaya and Manipur in addition to neighboring states such as Punjab, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana.

“We are overwhelmed by the number and quality of talent that was at display and heartily thank all these youngsters for participating in the trials. It has been a very difficult task to shortlist the final few and our coaches had to work hard for over 12 hours along with the boys. The entire Club is impressed at the sincerity and determination of the players who came from so far away,” said M.S. Patwal, one of the Club’s senior most directors.

The below listed players will undergo a two-week-long training camp in New Delhi with the rest of the Garhwal FC Under-19 team at the end of which a combined 20-member squad will be selected to represent the Club in the Under-19 I-League preliminary round whch will be held in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand from April 8, 2014.
