Delhi’s top league (Senior Division) to start from 12th January

Delhi Soccer Association has announced that the top tier of Delhi league will take place from 12th January. The venue will most likely be Ambedkar stadium with 14 participating teams divided into two groups. The top 3 teams from each group will play a super six league on a round robin basis and the table toppers of the same will be crowned champions of the DSA Senior Division League.

Last year’s winners and I-league division II hopefuls, Delhi United will fight against top sides like City F.C. (National Team Captain -Sunil Chhetri’s ex-Team). The complete groups are as follows:

Group A:

  • Garhwal Heroes
  • Hindustan F.C
  • Simla Youngs
  • New Delhi Heroes
  • Ahbab F.C
  • Goodwill F.C.

Group B:

  • Delhi United F.C
  • Tarun Sangha F.C
  • I.A.F(New Delhi)
  • Youngman F.C
  • Veterans F.C
  • Royal Rangers
  • City F.C

Meanwhile, in the ongoing A-division league, which is the second tier of the official league of the region, I.A.F. Palam beat Ashoka F.C. with a 2-0 score line.
