Assam played a goalless draw against Tamilnadu in their second group league match of the 49th Dr. BC Roy Junior National Football at Ranchi, Jharkhand. The match was played at Mekon stadium of Ranchi.
Earlier, Assam blanked Delhi by 4-0 in their first match of the campaign. Assam dominated the proceedings from the beginning of the match.
Assam will play against Jharkhand in the third match of their campaign on 24th September.
Sumit Tasa to Mohan Bagan academy
Sumit Tasa became the first footballer from Charaidew of Assam to got selected for the Mohan Bagan academy. He caught the eye of academy coach Prasanta Banarjee in a tournament at Golaghat, Assam.
