DSK Shivajians made it four wins out of four in the Under 19 I-League campaign as they eased past Kenkre FC in a 4-1 victory. Brace from both Mawihmingthang and Lallianzuala helped the home team maintain their 100% start in the league.

In the 18th minute, captain Mawihmingthang pounced on a pass from the midfield and calmly chipped it over the keeper to give DSK Shivajians the lead.

Later in the first half, Mawihmingthang’s shot was blocked by the Kenkre FC keeper, only for the ball to fall in Lallianzuala’s feet, who made no mistake in guiding the ball in the back of the net to make it 2-0 to DSK Shivajians.

In the closing stages of the first half, Kenkre FC enjoyed more possession and piled pressure on the DSK Shivajians’ backline. The pressure paid off in the 40th minute, when Atif broke loose and slotted the ball past Jedidi in the home team’s goal.

Two goals in two minutes from Mawihmingthang and Lallianzuala, respectively, in the second half, set the tone for the rest of the match. Lallianzuala’s headed finish took the match out of Kenkre’s reach.

DSK Shivajiansare at the top of the Maharashtra Zone Under 19 I-League table with 12 points after four matches.
