Promoted I-League side Mohammedan Sporting Club have signed experienced 31-year-old striker Dipendu Biswas to add him to their already strong squad for the 2013/14 season.
New Mohammedan Sporting coach Moshood Bola Abdul Aziz from Nigeria already has Tolgay Ozbey and Josimar da Silva Martins besides local strikers Ashim Biswas and Budhiram Tudu at his disposal, but Dipendu, with his experience at all levels, could be handy to have in difficult situations and in cases of injuries.

On Saturday, Dipendu had his first training session for his former team as he has played for Mohammedan Sporting in the past. Dipendu has joined the Black Panthers from Mohun Bagan AC, where he last season, he only played in a few Calcutta Premier Division matches.
At 31, many will say Dipendu is a spent force, who has been working more as a television expert than on match days on a football field.
In a pre-season friendly of Mohammedan Sporting against his New Bani Sangha team a few days ago, Dipendu showed he still has it in him.
