Soccer in America has been growing steadily over the last two decades. If you have followed soccer for more than three years in the United States, you have already heard that the game is “ready to blow” several times over. The market for soccer in the country has increased significantly with the introduction of the club F.C Cincinnati.

FC Cincinnati plays in United Soccer League (USL), which is the second tier league in the USA Soccer Pyramid. The club has only existed for two years and has only played soccer for eighteen months. FC Cincinnati is the most supported lower-tier football club in the USA. FCC is regularly outdrawing the Major League Soccer (MLS) clubs. The 21,199 average attendance record of the club for the 2017 USL season shows that Cincinnati was eagerly waiting for a well-run soccer team. The club had 340,000 fans on hand in the regular season.

The University of Cincinnati's Nippert Stadium serves as the home ground for the club. It is the eighth largest stadium in MLS with a capacity of 40,000. The stadium was tightly packed for the friendly match between F.C Cincinnati and Crystal Palace F.C and the attendance for that match was around 35,000. The club set a unique record for a competitive match with 33,250 fans in attendance for 2017 Lamar Hunt US Open Cup.

The fans in Cincinnati are enthusiastic about soccer. They have got songs, chants and smoke bombs everywhere to electrify the stadium. The active supporters group are Die Innenstadt, The Pride, The Bailey Bastards, The Den and The Legion. The club has definitely bagged the love of fans considering the number of supporters group they are having.

Soccer was viewed as merely a regional recreation in America with fans concentrated in the North-East, West Coast and St. Louis. Now, they tend to see the sport as a genuine national presence. Attendance records at the Nippert Stadium demonstrate that the city’s affection for soccer is widespread and desirous.

Soccer is flourishing in Cincinnati. The club will probably become more energetic in the coming years. By almost all measures, the sport is making unbelievable progress into the consciousness of the city. Their fans are all aboard the soccer revolution currently ongoing in the United States.
