India's only representative from the state of Mizoram, talented midfield player Lalengmawia started his journey from very humble and simple beginnings. The son of a butcher in a family of five, he followed his passion towards football and was given full support by his family and he will now be playing on the biggest stage, representing his nation.

Lalengmawia plays primarily as a central midfielder but can also play as an attacking midfielder providing crucial balls for the front men and even contribute with a few goals of his own. Lalengmawia started out when he was selected from his school for the U-14 Subroto Cup team and he has been in the fray since then. Even though from a humble family, where the only earner is his father who is a butcher, his parents have always been there for him during all his need for football and have always given him their full support.

Lalengmawia's story serves as an inspiration, it makes you believe in the fact that if you are passionate about something and work hard and have the talent, no matter what the situation you will succeed. The midfielder who wants to be a professional footballer will be one to keep an eye out for in the Indian team.
