FIFA U17 World Cup: Brazilian players show amazing gesture for local Kerala kids

History is all set to be made tomorrow as the FIFA U-17 World Cup 2017 kicks off in India for the very first time. Kochi is one of the exciting venues with Brazil, Spain and Germany playing their group stage matches at Kaloor's Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. All the four teams reached Kochi on 3rd October and started their training in the four training venues in the city.

Kerala is a football crazy state and has a large portion of the fans supporting the Brazil national team and the city is excited to see the Canarinhos play. The Brazil coach, Carlos Amadeu had told that the team will have the feel of playing a home match while playing at Kochi because of its support for Brazil.

On 4th October, the Brazil team trained at the Sports Academy Ground Panampilly Nagar from 5:00 pm. As a kind gesture to the local team - the Sports Academy Panampilly Nagar - the Brazilian coach Amadeu asked the kids of the academy join the team's training session.

The kids of the local academy trained along with the Brazilian squad for some time. The kids were excited to play with the national team. "We are excited to practice with the team and it was a very happy day," said one of the kids who participated in the session. Brazil star Lincoln told that he and the team enjoyed playing with the local boys.

With this kind gesture, the Brazilian team have won the hearts of the football fans in the city. More is still to come from the wonderful Brazilians once the tournament gets underway.
