Squad named for India's Women Football team for 2016 Olympic qualifiers

20 players have been shortlisted for the Indian Women's Senior National Team squad for the Women's 2016 Olympic qualifiers Round 1, following a Preparatory Camp in Shiv Nadar University, Dadri in Uttar Pradesh.

The Indian eves have been clubbed in Group A alongside hosts Myanmar and Sri Lanka.

The tournament is slated to kick-off from March 9, 2015 in Mandalay, Myanmar and the Indian eves will start their campaign by clashing swords against Sri Lanka on March 13 before taking on hosts Myanmar on March 15.

Head Coach Sajid Dar was pleased with the 20 member contingent at hand and said, “We have a bunch of very talented players, who are capable of upsetting some of the best teams in Asia. We are ready for the challenges ahead and will take them head on.”
