The Indian football team for the upcoming AFC Asian Cup 2019 qualifier against Myanmar has been announced, according to Goal India this morning, and a surprise exclusion was that of Kerala Blasters' star forward CK Vineeth.

Incidentally, Vineeth scored a brace against Real Balompedica Linense yesterday in a pre-season friendly in Spain. The Blasters won 2-0 courtesy of two Vineeth goals in the 49th and 59th minutes, but Constantine was not having any of it as he gave call-ups to two young forwards - Hitesh Sharma and Alen Deory - instead.

Here is the full India squad for the Myanmar game:

Goalkeepers: Subrata Paul, Gurpreet Singh Sandhu, Amrinder Singh, Vishal Kaith

Defenders: Anas Edathodika, Sandesh Jhingan, Salam Ranjan Singh, Sarthak Golui, Jerry Lalrinzuala, Narayan Das, Pritam Kotal, Lalruatthara

Midfielders: Bikash Jairu, Jackichand Singh, Halicharan Narzary, Pronay Halder, Anirudh Thapa, Germanpreet Singh, Eugeneson Lyngdoh, Rowllin Borges, Mohammed Rafique, Nikhil Poojary, Udanta Singh
