Set vision 2030

This plays a crucial role in establishing a strong base for Indian Football for the longer period. All the stakeholders including AIFF, IMG-Reliance, Star Sports should come together and define the document for Indian Football Setting Vision 2030. AIFF should take the initiative and come up with a committee comprising of retired Indian footballers in engaging and developing of Indian National Team performances. Apart from that, the committee should play an active role in selecting the National Team instead of solely depending on the coach.

Merging of potential clubs of I-league into ISL

If everything goes in accordance, merging will take place for the next ISL with potential clubs in I-league moving into ISL. Here again, the word potential describes the existence of the club, the sponsors associated with clubs, the fan base of the club, the desire in the owners of the club in promoting grassroots and youth setup, stadium availability in accordance with AIFF and ISL standards. As ISL is going to be top tier league in coming years all the above-mentioned criteria should be adhered by the clubs showing willingness in moving to ISL as it will help in healthy competition in the league thus making the qualification tougher for the AFC Competitions which dramatically increases the success rate of Indian clubs in AFC.

Let’s leave it to IMG Reliance and Star Sports till 2030

Yes, you heard it right and it sounds great for all sort of reasons. We all have seen how IMG alone revolutionized Indian football with merely three years with the support of Star Sports and AIFF. Below are the few developments we can see if it is left to IMG for few more years:

a) Plays a pivotal role in establishing a minimum of one club from each state of the country thus covering length and breadth of the whole nation.

b) Promotion of grassroots was and has been the main objective of ISL right from its inception which can even be seen in Tier 1, Tier 2 cities of the country if it is left to IMG.

c) Increase in the conduction of workshops which are organized by Premier League in collaboration with IMG all through the year.

Thus, by leaving it to IMG for few more years we can see a lot from them in contributing to the Indian football in different ways.
