Dempo SC midfielder Godwin Franco is getting ready to fly to Germany ahead of his week long trial with German 2.Bundesliga (second division) club Fortuna Dusseldorf, which to Godwin is the biggest chance of his football career so far and he wants to give his best to impress the coaching staff at Fortuna 95.

Surely to 100%! I am ready for Germany and the trial at Fortuna Dusseldorf in the coming days.
Did you do anything special or different than usual in preparations for the trials in Germany?
I have been watching videos online of Fortuna Dusseldorf, the way they play football, I wanted to get to know the club. This has helped me prepare, so I know what is wanted and expected off me by their coaching staff. I have taken advice from my friends and team mates who have the experience of playing in the English Premier League, at the highest level in Europe and the FIFA World Cups. I have been working on what they have told me is the key to do well at that competitive level.
What does this opportunity of a trial at Fortuna Dusseldorf mean to you?
It is a massive opportunity for me! I feel honoured that a club as big as Fortuna Dusseldorf that played the Bundesliga only last season and has won the German league title before, has selected me for trials. I want to thank the club for liking my footballing abilities and selecting me.
What do you expect from the trial at Fortuna Dusseldorf?
By Gods grace I will give my best at the trials. It will be top level football, unlike what I am used to back in India but I am ready for it.
