Governers Gold Cup Sikkim: Nepal U16 beat George Telegraph to enter QF

Nepal’s U16 National team registered a convincing 4 - 1 victory over George Telegraph Kolkata to enter the quarter finals of the 34th All India Governor’s Gold cup being held at Sikkim, India. Influential striker Bimal Gharti Magar netted 2 goals for Nepal U16 while Anil Rai and Shiva Subedi netted a goal each for Nepal U16 team. Ajay Roy scored the consolation goal for George Telegraph Kolkata.

In other matches of the day 4 of the championship, United Sikkim FC defeated MP United FC 3 – 1 to advance to the quarterfinal of the championship. Nepal U16 team will face MD Sporting Club in the quarterfinal while MP United FC will meet Three Star Club (Nepal) in the last eight of the championship.

Manang Marshyangdi Club of Nepal will face ONGC Mumbai in the last quarterfinal of championship.
