Grassroots Leaders Course kicks-off in Kalyani

The FIFA Grassroots Leaders Course has kicked-off in Kalyani, the picturesque suburban town just outside of Kolkata. The course focuses on identifying and creating Grassroots Leaders and is being attended by 23 participants who represent various States of the country.

The Course is being hosted by the Kalyani Municipality with the theory and practical sessions being held at the Kalyani Municipal Stadium.

The Chairman of the Kalyani Municipality, Dr. P.K. Sur welcomed the attendees and ensured his full support, not only for this particular Course but also for all football activities of the All India Football Federation in the future.

25 to 30 kids will be attending the practical sessions to be part of small-sided games for kids, which will help the instructors demonstrate and explain the philosophy of small sided games philosophy and its implementation in Grassroots Football to the participants.

The Course is being conducted by Scott O’Donnell and will end on Tuesday, November 6 with a Grassroots Football Festival.
