HRs take a note - Corporate participation welcome at India Football Tour
The India Football Tour starts next week in Delhi and tonight is the last day that people can register and participate in the event. Fans of 5-a-side football have been waiting eagerly for this tournament and in just a week we will see the best amateur footballers in India take on each other.
Corporate football in India is quite popular and with corporate teams having already registered for the India Football Tour, others can still register to play in what will be a very competitive league. For all who were confused by the term amateur football, it refers to all those who play 5-a-side football, just not in the top leagues in their respective states in the current season.
Corporate football teams are encouraged to register if they haven’t yet as they are experienced, play at high levels and are used to competitive environments during corporate tournaments, so will only add to the quality of India Football Tour.
The culture of corporate football in India is good and teams would want to participate and show that they can win the tournament. They can take on teams from across the country and prove their quality.
Beneath every suit is a Jersey
Imagine, your corporate team could take on corporate teams of your own organisation from a different city. Similarly, it would be really great if a corporate team become City champions, represent the city nationally, and then turn out to become India winners! That would mean you get to participate at the World Cup.
Winning the tournament will give them recognition at national level and their efforts will also be recognised by their company, who will look to use it as as example and show the other employees how their colleagues competed against some of the best amateur footballers in India and excelled.
Just like any corporate event, the India Football Tour is expected to be a really tough tournament, with teams having to fight it out to go through to the national finals. With that level of competition, the corporate entries will have an advantage in that their teams will be well drilled and would have practised together a lot.
Similarly, a lot of corporate teams are formed because the members want to play football and the India Football Tour is a good tournament for them to take part in with an aim of winning major honours, apart from having fun.
Another important aspect of corporate teams participating would be that the team ethic can improve and the event could be seen as a good opportunity for team building.
With members of the team working together to ensure that they perform well, it will allow teammates to understand each other better and cooperate with each other to make their team a better unit, so that they can do their best.
The India Football Tour will revolutionise the 5-a-side football circuit in India and participating and making their mark in this tournament is something that corporate teams should definitely take advantage of.
