#3 Minerva Punjab wasteful in front of goal

It was one-way traffic in the entire 90 minutes with Minerva Punjab getting in numerous balls into the box, unleashing several shots at goal but somehow the Lajong defence held on and conceded just twice which could well have been a way bigger number.

Souvik Das' balls from the right flank was a routine tactic for the visitors in the first half. The Bengal based right-back kept on delivering crosses from the right but only to see it getting squandered by the off-colour forwards in William Opoku, Donatus Edafe and Philip Njoku.

The Lajong Keeper showed his vulnerability in collecting the aerial balls and spilt few of them allowing the visitors a good number of chances to find the back of the net. But lack of composure and ideas cost the Defending Champions only their second win of the season.

As Minerva Punjab messed up the changes at the break, they could not use their new signing Alhassan Dahir to any benefit as well.
