Sajid Hossain and Yadav Rahul were the ones who were booked in the first half. The first half was largely a cagey affair with both sides involved in a prolonged midfield battle.

The second half kicked off and Pune City pressed hard, but the Real Kashmir defense were successful in containing the Pune City forwards. Wungngayam Muirang became the next player to go into the referee's book.

Kouassi Yao replaced Ifham Tariq as Kashmir FC were looking for the lead. Pune City made their first change as Jakob Vanlalhimpuia replaced Sajid Hossain, who was not effective in the second half. The play continued on similar lines of the first half as no team could break the deadlock.

Sreyas put FC Kerala into the lead at the 23-minute mark. Alhassan Dahir made it 2-0 in favour of the hosts.

Madhya Bharat created some anxious moments in the FC Kerala box but failed to find the net. The Kerala defence stood strong and the teams went into the break level pegging.

The second half saw an improved Madhya Bharat side looking to reduce the deficit. Incisive balls were floated into the 18-yard box by Madhya Bharat midfielders but the Kerala defence calmly handled the situation and cleared every dangerous looking ball to safety.

Al-Hassan Dahir made it 3-0 in the 86th minute and put the game to bed as the referee blew the final whistle.

FC Kerala will now face FC Goa Reserves on 31st March at the Bambolim Stadium, Goa while Madhya Bharat SC will face Kerala Blasters Reserves on 25th March in the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Kochi.
