India U16 side's exposure tour continues with another dominant win as they hammered 10 goals past a hapless colts of Al Hamriya Club of UAE

After the 5-0 win against Shabaad Al Ali, the India U16 side continued their dominant performance against Al Hamriya Club of UAE. As many as eight players were on the score sheet as Indian colts put on a clinical performance to finish the game with a 10-0 scoreline.

The rout started from the fourth minute itself, when Gurkirat headed home the opener off a Givson’s pinpoint cross. Seven minutes later, Bekey doubled the lead after his shot deflected into the net. Captain Rohit Danu then chipped in one to triple the lead before Lalrokima struck the fourth in the 25th minute.

Orissa-born Bekey then struck the fifth goal three minutes later to complete his brace. By the 35th minute, India had already slotted home six goals, with Lalrokima snapping a brace for himself.

With the game turning too easy for his players, Coach Bibiano Fernandes brought in a flurry of changes as he substituted six of his players at the break to let others have a go. Bibiano was not to be disappointed with the decision as three minutes into the game, Maharashtra-born Ridge Demello slotted home the seventh goal off a cross from Harpreet before Harpreet got on the scoresheet himself around the hour mark.

Tata football Academy product Ravi Rana and Assam State Academy’s Adarsh Das slotted two quick goals in the final ten minutes of the game to complete the 10-0 drubbing.

With the AFC U16 finals slated to be held in September later this year in Malaysia, AIFF has made sure to grant a proper nine-month long exposure trip to this bunch of players to prepare them for the Asian challenge. These exposure trips involve countries like Qatar, Japan, and Spain where the Indian team will play some friendlies with the local teams. The current UAE trip seems to have started on a bright spot with the squad not only winning but even dominating their opponents.
