One of the brightest talents of Indian football, Brandon Fernandes is hoping to make a reputation for himself in the upcoming Lusofonia Games to be held in Goa.

The teenage sensation is focused on impressing Indian national football coach - Wim Koevermans, with the hope of achieving his broader dream of playing in Europe one day.

The youngster burst onto the scene as a 13-year old, and has gone from strength to strength. The Goan has represented India in the Under 13, 16, 17 and 19 category so far, emerging as a firm favourite to break into the senior team sooner rather than later.

The 19-year old has been on a mission to reshape the history of Indian football. Trials with high profile English clubs like Reading, Leicester City and Sunderland has made him a part of an elite club of select few Indians, who have been able to market themselves in the mecca of football that is Europe.

To add to his already impressive C.V, the exciting forward also has the distiction of becoming the first ever Asian player to have earned an invitation to the Cape United Soccer School.

Dubbed the ‘Xavi of India’, Brandon Fernandes will be the man to watch out for in the imminent Lusofonia Games which starts on the 18th of this month. The tournament which will see 12 countries and 2000 athletes take part, could be the ideal spring board for the exciting forward.
