Indian teenager Brandon Fernandes is on the brink of achieving what every football loving kid in India dreams of.

The U19 International will be leaving for UK to undergo a trial with an English Premier League club for 2 weeks, starting next Tuesday.

Several Premier League clubs are said to have been keeping track of him since his impressive performance in the Manchester United Soccer Skills competition 4 years ago.

Fernandes has spent the weekend preparing for what he describes as a chance to “fulfill (his) dreams” with Nike SA looking after his kit needs. He believes he is “well prepared”, and admits he is “very excited”.

He sees this as a victory not only for himself and Africa Soccer Developments(ASD), but for the country of his origin, India too.

“My hopes are very high because I believe in myself and will push myself. All I can do is my best, and hope that I get a good result out of it.”

Fernandes believes the journey of “seeing (his) dreams come true” started from leaving his home state at the age of 16 to move to Cape Town, South Africa to join ASD.

The name of the Premier League club offering Fernandes a trial will be revealed after he reaches the UK
