Kenya came up short tonight

Patrick Musotsi (5/10): Musotsi didn’t have the best of games, it is not because of the goals he conceded but for the way he made some outings. His distribution was poor today, and he looked shaky whenever he came out to clear a ball.

Jockins Atudo (6/10): The right-back didn’t have the best of first half’s but came back strongly in the second half and put in numerous crosses. He also made sure India didn’t attack through the left flank.

Erick Otieno (6.5/10): The left back had a tough time keeping a check on Udanta. He had a torrid first half, but turned the tables in the second half, he was impressive down the flanks in the second half.

Michael Kibwage (5.5/10): The Centre back had more than a few problems keeping a check on Sunil Chhetri. Chhetri literally ran past him to score the second goal of the night. He did get his feet sorted in the second half.

Musa Mayeko (6.5/10): The captain was probably the best defender as he made a couple of last-ditch tackles to stop Jeje and Chhetri. Musa though did make a few mistakes in defence and then had to make up for it through some dangerous tackles.

Patilah Omoto (6/10): The attacking minded midfielder couldn’t really create much for his strikers. He did though have a couple of shots at goal.

Kenneth Muguna (5/10): Mugambi Muguna was really poor in the first half, and was rightly taken off in the first half. He was completely overrun by Thapa and Pronoy in midfield.

Bernard Oginga (6.5/10): Oginga was poor in the first half, but stepped his feet on the gas in the second half. Oginga did control the game during the second half and created a few openings for the strikers.

Odhiambo Dennis (6/10): Dennis had a few shots at goal, but couldn’t really do much other than that. He didn’t track back properly and did commit some silly fouls in the middle of the park.

Pistone Mutamba (6/10): Mutamba kept the Indian defenders on their heels in the second half. He showed some good touches in the second half, but his finishing was poor.

Ovella Ochieng (6/10): Ochieng had the most shots on target today, but he was denied by Gurpreet on a couple of occasions. His clever runs were a headache for the Indian defenders, but his finishing let him down on a couple of occasions.

Substitutes

John Makwata (5.5/10): Makwata came on in the first half, but didn’t have the required impact on the game. He did put in a few good crosses, but in general, his link up with his teammates wasn’t of the desired quality.
