Duwayne Kerr - 6/10

The Jamaican, who returned to Chennai's starting lineup as a part of manager Materazzi's squad rotation plan had a very easy night. The Pune City attack caused no trouble to the 29-year-old.

Jerry Lalrinzuala - 5/10

Jerry was very good for Chennai in their last two games, but this match did not go well for the youngster. The 18-year-old faced a tough time against Pune's Sanju Pradhan and Rahul Bheke. The youngster is developing quickly, though and the experience will surely come in handy.

John Arne Riise - 7/10

The Norwegian came back into the Chennai starting lineup after being left on the bench against NorthEast United and put on a solid performance. The former Liverpool man gave a tough time to Pune's Dramane Traore and made sure that no one went past him with ease.

Eli Sabia - 7/10

The Brazilian has been solid for Chennai since he came into the team. Sabia made no errors and was too strong for the Pune City players. Materazzi will be relieved that the team's defenders are in a fine form.

Mehrajuddin Wadoo - 6.5/10

The Super Machans' captain on the night was also solid for the defending champions at the back. He not only was strong at the back but also caused problems for the Pune defence with his crosses.

Siam Hanghal - 6/10

The Indian midfielder kept his game simple. Hanghal focussed on doing his assigned task and did no mistakes. The 23-year-old made life difficult for the Pune midfielders.

Hans Mulder - 5/10

Chennaiyin FC's top scorer was quiet against FC Pune City. The Dutchman didn't do much help to the Chennai attack but made some defensive contributions.

Manuele Blasi - 6/10

The Italian had a similar game to Hanghal and did his job well in keeping the Pune midfielders silent. Blasi made some key interceptions too for the away side.

Dudu Omagbemi - 6.5/10

The Nigerian worked his socks off on the night. Dudu tried his best to give the Pune defenders a tough time and he quite succeeded too. The former FC Goa striker got some half chances but was not able to capitalise on it.

Jeje Lalpekhlua - 7.5/10

Jeje returned to the Chennai starting lineup after a slight injury and announced his return with a stunner. The Mizoramese bullied Pune's Eduardo off the ball and volleyed the ball into the net from outside the box. The 25-year-old was also declared as the Hero of the Match.

Jayesh Rane - 5/10

It was a night to forget for young Jayesh Rane. He couldn't get his dribbles right, his passes were not accurate and gave away the ball cheaply.

Substitutes

Harmanjot Khabra - 4/10

The Indian midfielder, who replaced Siam Hanghal at the 72-minute mark, was very very poor on the night. Khabra's performance was the direct opposite of Hanghal's performance. The Punjabi gave away needless fouls and also picked up a yellow card. It was Khabra who conceded the free-kick which led to Pune's goal.

Raphael Augusto - N/A

Raphael Augusto came on late in the game but didn’t really have a lot of time to do much.

Davide Succi - 5/10

Succi was another later substitute and got a half chance which he couldn't connect properly.
