Dumas Sabrosa Goa ban fine ISL
FC Goa were involved in a controversial game against Kerala Blasters

FC Goa have suffered a huge hit to their Indian Super League hopes after AIFF’s disciplinary committee handed out two-match bans to Raphael Dumas and Luciano Sabrosa. The Gaurs problems have been compounded after they were hit with some massive fines as well.

The All India Football Federation will collect a total of 4,40,000 in fines, after two separate incidents of ‘team misconduct’. There were ugly scenes in FC Goa’s previous match, as multiple players clashed with the referee during the game with security personnel having to rush in and protect the match officials after the game.

Kerala Blasters were the beneficiaries of FC Goa’s problems, with Gregory Arnolin and Richarlyson earning red cards, with the Goan players responding in anger, almost getting into a physical altercation with the referee. Gaurs boss Zico also went on a rant after the game, criticising the referee.

Thus FC Goa will be without the above 4 crucial players in their games against NorthEast United and Mumbai City FC. Zico faces a real headache to name a proper defence, with Lucio probably the only quality centre-back left available to play.
