Steve Coppell has taken over as the main man for the Kerala outfit and seems to have made the right decisions. Especially, with the selection of Aaron Hughes as the marquee signing ahead of a more popular bandwagon of names available in the market.

The center back partnership picks itself with the duo of Aaron Hughes and Cedric Hengbart providing a solid foundation to the Kerala midfield. The midfield should be led by the feisty and talented Mehtab Hossain, with the calm presence of 23-year-old Spanish midfielder Josue Currais beside him, along with the assured Mohammad Rafique.
The front three is likely to be the trio of Antonio German, Kevens Belford and Thongkhosiem Haokip, with Michael Chopra and Mohammed Rafi providing options from the bench.
