The ISL began in 2014 and has had three goal-laden seasons, with the fourth one currently going on. Recently, with a Mark Sifneos strike, ISL 2017 reached 100 goals in only the 38th match of the season.

Some Indian players have been at the centre of goals like Jeje Lalpekhlua, who has scored 14 goals across all the four seasons. However, there are several top Indian players who haven't even scored a single goal in all the four seasons of ISL. Let's take a look at them.

#1 Arnab Mondal

Mondal has started 37 ISL games and made 41 appearances in total in his three-year stay at ATK. He even won two titles in his stay at the club but wasn't able to score a single goal in all those appearances.

For the national team as well, in over six years, he made over 25 appearances and managed a solitary goal in the start of his international career.

Recently, the 28-year-old lost his place in the national team and some good matches for East Bengal could bring him back into contention for the national team.

#2 Holicharan Narzary

Narzary recently made his 25th appearance in the ISL but wasn't able to mark the occasion with a goal. In fact, Narzary hasn't even scored a single goal in his whole ISL career despite the fact that he plays as a left winger.

Even in his two year-stint at Dempo in the ISL, he made 27 appearances but was able to score a solitary goal for the former I-League club.

The 23-year-old has made 17 appearances for the national team, he has started 13 matches and scored only a goal for his country as well.

Narzary needs to find the back of the net soon if he wants to retain his position in the national team.

#3 Sandesh Jhingan

With 49 appearances for Kerala Blasters and starting every one of them, Jhingan has the most no. of appearances in the ISL for an Indian player, but the lowest number of goals in the ISL.

He also hasn't found the back of the net for his ISL team in his stint at the club in which his team reached the final twice and is one of the most consistent teams of the league.

In 61 appearances in the I-League, Jhingan has scored 4 goals for three different teams. The 24-year-old has been in good goal-scoring form with the national team as well as he has scored 4 goals in the last 18 months.

Perhaps he could score a goal against bottom club Delhi Dynamos to mark his 50th appearance in the ISL.

#4 Narayan Das

With 39 starts in 43 appearances, Narayan Das is one of the most consistent players in the Indian Super League. First at Goa and then at Pune City FC, Das wasn't able to put the ball in the back of the net.

Even in his 16 appearances at East Bengal and 17 at Dempo, he wasn't able to score a goal. Though he scored 2 goals in his time at the Paillan Arrows, that is too distant a memory to be remembered.

The 24-year-old even scored his first goal for his nation when he scored in a friendly in 2016 but hasn't scored in the ISL yet.

#5 Mehtab Hossain

Hossain started 37 out of the 38 games he was part of in his time at Kerala Blasters and even helped his team qualify for two ISL finals, but wasn't able to score a solitary goal in the league.

In his early days at East Bengal, he scored four goals for them. However, he hasn't scored for them since 2012. The 32-year old hasn't scored for his national team despite getting 24 starts for them.

For his new side Jamshedpur, he has started all the eight games, but hasn't managed to bulge the back of the net for them as of yet.
