The stage is set in Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Delhi where Delhi Dynamos FC will meet Chennaiyin FC in match number 71 for Hero ISL. Both the teams ended the game in a 2-2 draw in their last meeting, as a result, they may be looking to rectify the mistakes from their last clash. A win for Chennaiyin FC will help them to hold their place for the semi-final whereas, in spite of a poor start by Delhi Dynamos in this edition, a win will definitely help them to avoid the bottom part of the table. Let us look at some interesting points before the Kick-off.

DELHI DYNAMOS FC

Delhi Dynamos did not have a good start in this season as they obtained 7 points from 12 games and lying in the bottom part of the table. They made a positive start against FC Pune City in their first match with a 3-2 win, but fall down from the second game against Bengaluru FC. Delhi Dynamos scored 13 goals, won 2, drew 1 and lost 9 till now in the competition. They need to bring out some positive results from their last six matches to avoid the bottom part, thus a win in their next game will be a glimmer of hope for the team.

The 35-year-old Nigerian forward Kalu Uche scored 5 goals and made '1 assist' which definitely giving the team a confidence; Brazilian midfielder Paulinho Dias made 24 interceptions with '1 goal' and ‘1 assist’ beside his name. Indian midfielder Nandhakumar Sekar has 3 assists with some eye-catching performance besides his name.

CHENNAIYIN FC

Chennaiyin FC is in the fourth place of the table with 23 points from 13 games after Jamshedpur FC leapfrogged them with a win against NorthEast United in their last game.  Chennaiyin FC must be eyeing for a win now to stay on the race for the semi-final round. They scored 20 goals and kept 4 clean sheets in 13 games, hence a healthy stats may be oozing the team with confidence.

The 27-year-old Indian National Team forward Jeje Lalpekhlua has scored 7 goals; Goalkeeper Karanjit Singh kept 4 clean sheets in 13 games. Slovenian midfielder Rene Mihelic has '1 goal' and ‘2 assists’ till now in the competition.

WHAT NEXT?

Delhi Dynamos FC will face NorthEast United FC on 14 February at Guwahati, on the other hand, Chennaiyin FC will meet FC Goa on 15 February at Goa.
