ISL 2017/18: Pulga urges Kerala Blasters fans to fill up the stadium

Pulga was an integral part of the team in the first, and second editions.
Pulga was an integral part of the team in the first and second editions.

When Keziron Kizito was forced to stay out of the team after he got injured, David James had a big task on his hands - to bring in a player and to rejuvenate the wobbly midfield of the team.

The inclusion of former star midfielder Pulga into the team gave the Kerala boss powerful armour to employ in the midfield. However, the Spaniard hasn't played a minute for the team till now.

Talking about his return to Kerala Blasters, Pulga revealed the reasons behind it. "Honestly, I'm happy now. Because, in my first experience in Kerala, I explained that it was the best sporting experience of my life. So, I wanted to back, and now I'm back," answered Pulga when asked about what was the feeling on Kerala Blasters return.

He described this jaunt as different since there are only four players in the team with whom he has played back in the first and second editions. "Of course, I feel different. because the people are totally different. From my first, and second season, I think I know only 3-4 players, Hume, Sandeep Nandy, Sandesh, Vineeth." said Pulga.

"I'm ready to play this week. Last week, I didn't feel 100% ready. Because I had few training sessions. Now I feel ready, and I want to play again. I want to give my best for the team." said Pulga when asked how eager was he to play.

"If I had gotten my visa, I could've played against Delhi, but I got my visa later, so I didn't play. But I was in the stadium, the crowd was amazing. Not like the first, and second season, the people in the stadium was less, but it was normal.

"The team is not top of the table. But I hope the last game we play in the home ground, the stadium will be full," explained an optimistic Pulga when asked about the crowd in Kochi.

If Pulga manages to start in their next game against NorthEast United FC, James will be happy to have him back on the field, and will be happy to see a linchpin finally don the colours in the midfield. The team still has got chances to qualify, and if James can employ Pulga effectively, Kerala Blasters will again become the phoenix rising from the ashes.
