Everton Santos was a livewire in the Mumbai attack as he kept the Goan defence on their toes with his runs on both the wings. He won the penalty for Mumbai in the 54th minute when Mohammed Ali brought him down just inside the box with a late sliding challenge.

Mumbai City FC's Cameroonian import Achille Emana stepped up to take the spot-kick and calmly slotted his effort past Laxmikant Kattimani, sending the Goa keeper the wrong way. Emana's goal levelled the score at 2-2 with 40 minutes still left to play in the match.
