ISL 2017: 5 goalkeepers Delhi Dynamos could sign in the January transfer window
Albino Gomes was the No.1 choice between the sticks for Aizawl FC in their miracle season. The ISL clubs signed most of the Aizawl FC players after their title-winning season and one of the players who switched Aizawl for ISL was Gomes. But, he picked up a knee injury against Jamshedpur FC, and the Goa-born goalkeeper could sit out the whole season.
Since then, Delhi Dynamos have lost both their matches with Sukhdev Patil conceded 5 goals against FC Goa. Arnab Das Sharma also let the Irish legend, Robbie Keane put the goal in the back of the net as Delhi lost another match and remained at the bottom of the table.
Now, the Delhi Dynamos manager Miguel Angel is said to be looking for a goalkeeper and is considering his options. Let's have a look at the some of the star foreign keepers who could sign for the ISL side.
Zabolotny came through at FC Zenit St. Petersburg, but hardly got any game time. So, he moved on to other clubs where like FC Spartak Moscow and FC Rostov where he played second fiddle.
His last move was to sign for FC Ural where he made 72 appearances in 3 seasons before mutually terminating his contract this year on September 8 for unknown reasons. He helped his side reach the final of the domestic cup in the 2015-16 season where they lost to Lokomotiv Moscow. He also made 24 appearances for the Russia U21 side.
At the age of 27 and also having experience of playing in the Russian Premier League, he is the perfect fit for the Delhi side. As he is entering his prime years, it would take a really attractive offer to bring the Russian to India.
