What's the story?

After three consecutive defeats, Delhi Dynamos are set to receive a huge boost in their ISL 2017 campaign, with Sena Ralte returning to the first team training and is in contention to start against Goa at Delhi's Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on Saturday.

In case you didn't know...

The left-back joined Delhi Dynamos in the Indian players' draft after a successful campaign with Mumbai City FC last time around. He was one of the best defenders in the league with Mumbai and was by far, the most impactful left back in the ISL.

He won the competition in 2015 with Chennaiyin FC and has been a revelation at every club he has played at since he arrived on the scene.

The heart of the matter

After playing the first two matches of the season, Ralte missed the next two games against North East United and Jamshedpur FC. But the good news for the capital side is that the Mizo fullback has completely recovered from his injury.

Ralte took part in full team training yesterday and is ready to be included in the first team squad for the game against the Gaurs.

What's next?

Along with Sena Ralte, the Dynamos have also missed the duo of Matias Mirabaje and Edu Moya for the recent matches.

Mirabaje has started training individually and the management is confident that he will feature in some capacity against ATK next week. Moya is expected to take a bit longer than Mirabaje and is expecting a return in early January.

Author's take

Delhi Dynamos need to start picking up points if they are to replicate last season's brilliant outing for the club. For that, Miguel Portugal needs his top men fit for the remainder of the campaign and Sena Ralte is definitely one of them.

The former Real Madrid technical director would be ecstatic to have the left back ready for a return.
