What's the story
Defending champions ATK are in a spot of bother as one of their top defenders, Prabir Das has had an FIR lodged against him. Incidentally, his wife Tanushree Das has filed an FIR against the ATK fullback, for allegedly not letting her into their home.
In case you didn't know
Prabir Das is one of the regular starters for ATK, playing at the right-back position. A product of the Pailan Arrows Academy, Das has played for Dempo SC, FC Goa, and the Delhi Dynamos, before joining Mohun Bagan last year. As the ISL and the I-League were being held at different times last season, he had also played for ATK.

However, now that the two tournaments are being held simultaneously, Das has signed for the Kolkata-based ISL side.
The heart of the matter
Das' wife Tanushree alleged that he did not allow her to enter his house even though they were married. She also said that Prabir forced her to have an abortion, according to sources. In response to the allegations, Prabir fired back saying that Tanushree has stolen money from him. The ATK defender is also said to be willing to take the matter to court.
What's next?
The FIR on Prabir, who has been a regular in the ATK starting XI so far, may well go on to affect his selection into the ATK team. Regardless of these allegations, we will have to see if he will take to the field in their next match against Mumbai City FC, on Sunday.

Tanushree's allegations seem rather serious. If the former Mohun Bagan defender is indeed found guilty of these allegations, it could go on to adversely affect his footballing career.
