Acronyms are common in modern football and fans lovingly give some acronym to the famous striking pairs in their team. Some of the famous attacking trios in European football in the recent past include BBC of Real Madrid, MSN of Barcelona and SSS of Liverpool. All those have been deadly attacking trios displaying some of the best attacking games in European football. At present, only Real Madrid's BBC remain as Neymar and Luis Suarez left their respective clubs to join new forces in 2017 and 2014.

As the new season of Indian Super League is set to kick off next month, fans are into fighting for new rivalries, new chants, and new slogans to support their teams. Kerala Blasters fans have been the famous of all the teams in the ISL, supporting their team in all sort of ways they can.

With the south Indian rivalry reaching new heights this season with the inclusion of Bengaluru FC to the ISL, Blasters fans are looking for new strategies to fight their rivals in the league. The famous Manjappada also released their anthem for the upcoming season earlier this year.

This close season, Kerala Blasters re-signed Iain Hume, who is the all-time record goalscorer in the Indian Super League. Hume was the fans favourite for the Blasters as they finished as runners-up in the inaugural season of the ISL in 2014 and after two years with ATK, he is back in the fold for the Kochi outfit.

Kerala's star CK Vineeth is another player who fans expect to shine in this season. The former Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov has been the star signing of the Blasters this season and the fans expect a lot from the Bulgarian. A section of the crazy fans of Kerala have already geared up for ISL 2016-18 and have started by lovingly calling this attacking trio in a short form, much like the BBCs and MSNs of this world. "CID" is the short form given to CK Vineeth, Iain Hume and Dimitar Berbatov, a trio expected to be as deadly as the BBC or MSN, in the ISL this season.

Let us wait and see if Kerala Blasters' rival ISL clubs have their own acronyms for their attackers. With Bengaluru having strikers like Sunil Chettri, Miku and Udanta Singh, a European-style rivalry between fans in the ISL is in the making and it could very well start with a few quirks borrowed from Europe, like Blasters' CID.
