Delhi Dynamos vs FC Goa has been one of those fixtures in the ISL which has never showcased a dull affair. This particular fixture in the ISL has never given us a goalless affair, nor has this fixture ever ended in a draw.

Goa came to Delhi on the back of winning two games on the trot, whereas Delhi were having a bad patch of form having lost 3 games. Goa wanted to win this game to move to the top of the table, whereas Delhi wanted to win the tie to get their season back on track.

The Gaurs led Delhi 2-0 at the halftime, and at the end of the 90 minutes, the scoreboard read 5-1 in favour of the Gaurs who beat a 10-man Delhi Dynamos convincingly.

On that note, let's take a look at how the players fared in the game.

Delhi Dynamos

Sukhdev Patil (4.5/10): Sukhdev didn’t have the best of starts to the ISL this season, as he had to pick up the ball 5 times from the back of his net. His inexperience and lack of maturity was clearly visible as he failed to judge certain situations properly which gave Goa the opportunities to score.

Pritam Kotal (5.5/10): Pritam has not been having the best of seasons this time around and his poor form continued. He failed to keep the likes of Mandar and Lanzarote in check. The fullback also ended up scoring an own goal to add to his woes.

Munmun Lugun (5.5/10): Munmun, like always, gave his 100 per cent but wasn’t very effective as he was beaten by Brandon and Colunga with relative ease. Munmun also didn’t have much joy going forward.

Rowilson (6/10): Rowlinson was the only Delhi defender who tried to stick with his man, and be in the right position, even though he was not very successful at it.

Cichero (4/10): Made an unnecessary jab at Mandar Rao Desai, to earn his second booking of the night. From the first half, he tried to keep the Goa players under pressure by lunging into tackles. He eventually paid the price.

Paulinho Dias (7.5/10): Paulinho was the best player for Delhi. Had his first-half attempt not hit the post, and gone in instead, we could have been seeing a different scoreline right now. He helped his defence a lot and tried to instigate a number of forward movements for Delhi.

Joren Lumu (7/10): Lumu looked lively throughout the 90 minutes as he tried his best to create openings in the Goa defence. He worked tirelessly to help out his defence and then venture forward in search of a goal.

Vinit Rai (6/10): Vinit looked a shade below his usual self. He lost the ball cheaply in his own half during the second goal, and never really recovered from that. His positioning also looked a bit poor.

Romeo (6.5/10): The first start for Romeo in ISL 2017 was against his former side FC Goa and it wouldn’t be a game he would want to remember. Even though he had an assist to his name, he looked a bit out of sorts and probably needs more time to adjust to his surroundings in Delhi.

Guyon Fernandes (5.5/10): Guyon was rarely seen with the ball. He also had the habit of straying offside, which automatically took him out off the game. This habit of his had an effect on the game Delhi played as they tried to stretch the Goa defence using the flanks.

Kalu Uche (7/10): The Nigerian World Cup player was lucky not to be sent off as he headbutted Lanzarote. Kalu Uche though did get his name on the scoresheet. Even though Delhi were beaten comprehensively, Kalu looked lively in patches and he did show that given he has the proper supply he can still score a few goals.

Laxmikant Kattimani (6/10): Laxmikant didn’t have much to do, as he was not called into action for most parts of the game. He did look to have issues with his positioning and that is something Goa need to sort out if they are to keep this comprehensive winning streak intact.

Bruno Pinheiro (7.5/10): Bruno was absolutely stunning through the game, he did a good job in keeping the likes of Ucche quiet, he also made some crucial ball winning tackles.

Mohamed Ali (6.5/10): Mohamed Ali looked a tad shaky in the initial 30minutes of the game but then grew in stature as the match progressed.

Seriton (7/10): Seriton’s good run in the ISL continued as he did a commendable job to keep the likes of Lumu, Paulinho and Romeo quiet.

Narayan Das (7/10): Narayan had another great game, as he was mostly successful in keeping Romeo and then Chhangte quiet. He also made some great anticipations and ventured forwards whenever possible.

Ahmed Jahouh (8/10): Jahouh has been one of the best midfielders this season, and he showed his class once again and made a case for why he is rated so highly. His ball-winning tackles were a treat to watch and the way he moved forward was a treat for the eyes.

Edu Bedia (7/10): Edu had a quiet game of sorts. He did his job without much fuss and was neat and tidy in the middle of the pitch for most parts of the game, but didn’t hesitate to get dirty when the situation came.

Manuel Lanzarote (8/10): Scored the all-important second goal before halftime, which had an effect psychologically on the team from the capital and it was an effect from which Delhi dynamos couldn’t really recover from. Lanzarote was brilliant with his link-up play and also dropped deep to help out his midfielders.

Brandon (6.5/10): Even though Brandon made some great runs down the flanks, he couldn’t get the desired quality into the box.

Mandar (6/10): Mandar had a quiet game and even though he did get past Pritam on a couple of occasions he couldn’t provide the quality crosses into the box.

Ferran Corrominas (8.5/10): Even though he was quiet and unseen for the first 40 minutes of the game, it took Corro just 4 minutes to showcase why he is the deadliest striker in ISL. He scored one and assisted another within a span of 3 minutes to give Goa a 2 goal lead before halftime, which changed the dynamics of the game.
