Kerala Blasters, two-time runners-up in ISL, have signed some big-name strikers like Iain Hume, Dimitar Berbatov and CK Vineeth in their team for the 2017-18 season. Blasters have played 180 minutes of football this season, but even with these big names in their squad, they have failed to score a single goal this season.

In the past seasons, Kerala Blasters had some good strikers like Michael Chopra, Chris Dagnall, Kervens Belfort etc in their team, scoring plenty of goals.

As the goal drought continues for Kerala Blasters, let us take a look at five top scorers in Kerala Blasters history.

#5 CK Vineeth - 5 goals

CK Vineeth, the 29-year-old striker did not have the perfect start he wanted this season. Vineeth has been with the team for last two seasons and is one of the fan-favorites. Being the local boy, he has got good support from the fans and the past two seasons he has proved his worth in the team.

From 20 games CK Vineeth has scored 5 goals for Kerala Blasters and is one of the top 5 scorers on the team. Fans would hope that CK Vineeth will soon get back to his form and start scoring goals.

#4 Iain Hume - 5 goals

Iain Hume, the name that cannot be missed on the list, is the top scorer in the Indian Super League with 23 goals to his name, he is surely a player all the teams want in their side. Hume was a part of Kerala Blasters for the Inaugural season of ISL and helped Kerala Blasters to reach finals.

Hume scored 5 goals from 16 games and was truly the man behind the wonderful run of Kerala Blasters in the first season. The Canadian in back in Kochi and the fans will hope Hume can yet again bring out his magic this season.

#3 Mohammed Rafi - 6 goals

Mohammed Rafi, the 35-year-old local boy, is not someone who gets a lot of attention in the Kerala Blasters side. He is good in the air and has good finishing skills. Rafi was part of the team during the 2015 and 2016 season. He played 22 games in these two seasons and scored 6 goals for the team. He was an integral part of the team when they reached finals in 2016.

This season, however, he has made his way to Chennaiyin FC, who recently got a massive 3-0 victory over NorthEast United FC, last week. Rafi’s presence in the box will surely be missed by Kerala Blasters.

#2 Antonio German - 6 goals

The young English striker Antonio German was a part of Kerala Blasters for 2 seasons, 2015 and 2016. He played 20 games for the team and scored 6 goals. All his goals came from the 2015 season, as he went on an 11-game goalless streak in the 2016 season. Subsequently, he was not retained for ISL 2017. The striker had an important role to play in the team and fans would really miss the Englishman.

Now, German has switched over to debutant club Jamshedpur FC, with his former manager Steve Coppell. His goal-draught, however still continues even at Jamshedpur, who have also not scored in their first two matches.

#1 Chris Dagnall - 6 goals

The Englishman was the part of the unfortunate 2015 season. He played just the one season for the Kerala Blasters before returning to the UK in the next season. Chris Dagnall was not a popular player in the team but scored 6 goals from just 13 games in 2015 season. He was one of the most prolific strikers who played for Blasters and scored a goal every 171 minutes on average.

Dagnall had moved on from the ISL after the one-year stint, as he went to Scottish club Hibernian last season. This season, he is plying his trade for Crewe Alexandra in the English fourth division.
