Against Bengaluru FC, Chennaiyin FC showed their supremacy in the midfield. Apart from Miku’s goal, which separated the two teams, Chennaiyin undoubtedly played better. But that was not the case against Goa.

Their defense crumbled against FC Goa’s constant pressure. They were allowing their opponent to create space within their half. It seemed Inigo Calderon and Mailson Alves had little understanding between them.

All of Goa’s goal came from an unmarked position. Take the first instance, Coro was marked by Chennaiyin defenders, which left Bedia open and Lenny calmly crossed the ball to the Brazilian, who slotted home.

During the second one, Coro was completely left unmarked in the box. You should always keep an eye on the opponent’s best weapon, especially someone like Coro. Chennaiyin forgot to do just that.

In attacking front, Jeje had a bad day was again. The promising Indian didn’t have shot on target, which is so unimpressive from his part. Gregory Nelson threatened Goa defense twice, but he didn’t get support from his teammates.
